Have you wished that you had a support system of other leaders in Oregon libraries who could help when new challenges arise? Want to learn strategies to be a thoughtful advocate? You’ll gain these skills and more through your participation in LIOLA.When: The Leadership Institute of the Oregon Library Association (LIOLA) is happening this year; in person at Mt. Hood Resort, Welches, Oregon, July 17 and 18, with a virtual 90-minute pre-institute meeting on July 7, and three (3) 90-minute virtual sessions on August 4, 11, and 18, 2025. Attendees are asked to fully attend all in-person and virtual meetings. Who: All Oregon Library Association (OLA) members who meet the eligibility criteria and who are interested in leadership (formal or informal) are encouraged to apply. LIOLA is relevant for people who lead from anywhere, whether or not they are in a management role. Eligibility criteria:
Cost: $750 for OLA members which includes LIOLA content, as well as lodging and meals at Mt Hood Resort, Welches, Oregon. Scholarships to attend LIOLA are also available; you can request a scholarship when you apply.
