Fall Conferences

OASL hosts an annual fall conference, and it is usually scheduled for the second full weekend of October. Depending on the year, the conference may be one, one and a half, or two days long. The target audience is licensed and classified school library staff, but anyone who is interested in school libraries is welcome to attend. Vendors and exhibitors are also encouraged to join. Questions? Contact the OASL president.

Summer break is on the horizon; but, as an educator, you most likely have your eye on next school year and are considering library programs, book purchases, and lesson plans you want to implement. JOIN US for the Oregon Association of School Libraries 2024 Fall Conference in Portland, Oregon, on October 5th. Our theme is #BetterTogether! Registration is now open!

We are thrilled to welcome a fantastic panel of talent to this year’s conference.  Author Phil Bildner will be our keynote speaker and join author Dashka Slater and cartoonist Breena Bard for a breakfast panel and session presentations. Additionally, we have a full schedule of sessions that address the breadth of our work in school libraries, revolving around learning, best practice, program implementation, innovation in technology, and staff development.
